On Line Identification of Interconnected Network Equivalent from Operating Data

Abstracts: T.G. Deville and F.C. Schweppe, PAS 91 No.6 November/December 1972 p. 2258

In order to predict how a single network will behave, it is necessary to determine how it will interact with its neighboring interconnected networks. A method is presented for finding an equivalent for the interconnected network using only operating data obtained from within the single network. In general, this equivalent will be very much smaller than the actual system it represents.
