Two simplified, reduce order representations of INDUCTION MACHINE are set forth. One Representations is expressed in term of variables in the synchronously rotating reference frame, the other is a single phase ac equivalent. The accuracy of these representations is verified by comparing their dynamic response with that obtained from a detailed representation should have immediate application in the simulation of large scale power system for transient stability studies. This would include digital simulations as well as special purpose hybrid or analog simulators.
